Wente Foil

I will never forget that day. My mom took me and my sister away from our abusive father to safety. It was a cold and rainy day in Kansas, as we fled to safety and shelter. My Mom then worked two jobs to provide for us and I did whatever I could to make money for our family. My sister babysat and I did odd jobs. We rarely spent much time with Mom as she was so busy providing for us. There never was much money, but an abundance of love. I promised myself that one day, I would figure out a way to make it easier for my Mom and other single moms.

About Wente Vineyards

Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the longest continuously-operated, family-owned winery in the country. Wente is recognized as one of California’s premier wine country destinations featuring wine tasting, dining, concert experiences, championship golf and more.

For five generations, Wente Vineyards has been committed to making time for one another, crafting wine and wine country experiences that bring friends and family together.

Carolyn Wente often says, “You don’t find time for important things, you make it.”

This speaks volumes about the importance of being intentional with how we spend our precious time, day in and day out. We, at Wente Family Estates, have had a passion for bringing people together with a glass of wine since day one, because when we come together to build and maintain great relationships, we live happier lives.

What do you Make Time for?

“We’ve known through the years that great wine comes from more than the land and the grapes, it comes from people and the passion-filled moments that help fuel its development,” Amy Hoopes, president of Wente Family Estates, said. “It’s the same for every other activity in life – when the soil of your soul is enriched, you will reap the benefits in creativity, productivity and deeper, more meaningful relationships."
