Troy’s interest started around age 10 when his father started to play golf again. Golf was not available as a team sport at the schools that Troy attended. Instead, his practice was done at home. He would hit a 5 gallon bucket of used golf balls into a field across from the house and then pick them up. Many evenings were spent repeating this until Troy felt he achieved his goal for the practice session. Troy’s passion for the game led him to work and instruct in public and private courses throughout the country. His last stop before joining The Course at Wente Vineyards was Stonewall Golf Club in Virginia, a top rated course in the region. Troy and his wife, Kristi, reside in San Jose, CA.
