2019 nth DEGREE Merlot
2019 nth DEGREE Merlot
Tasting Notes
Generous aromas of black cherries and currants are at the heart of our 2019 nth DEGREE Merlot. Deliciously deep and focused, the juicy and satisfying fruit unfolds with layers of rich and sweet chocolately oak, but a touch of decanting on this youthful and exuberant wine will reveal additional layers of graphite, maple and nutmeg with a hint of Livemore dust. Plumpness in the mid-palate is buffered with a bright ribbon of acidity that allows the wine a measure of weight and balance, perfectly integrated with its well woven tannins.

Fermentation And Aging
Fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks where the must was gently pumped over three times daily. Each component was aged separately in French and neutral oak barrels for 6 months, then blended and aged for an additional 14 months in 80% new and 20% second use French oak barrels.
