Wente Social Media Internship

Spend Your Summer Inside a 140-Year-Old Winery

What if your summer internship didn’t involve coffee runs…
but vineyard walks, executive mentorship, content shoots, and bringing a legacy wine brand into the modern world?

Wente Family Vineyards — the longest continuously family-owned and operated winery in the United States — is launching a national search for our next Social Media Storytelling Intern.

This isn’t just an internship.
It’s a creative challenge.
And a front-row seat to the future of wine.

The Opportunity

For over 140 years, Wente Family Vineyards has been family-owned and family-led. Now, we’re inviting the next generation to help shape how our story is told.

As our Social Media Intern, you’ll:

  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments across vineyards, winemaking, events, and executive leadership
  • Develop and execute social-first content for TikTok and Instagram
  • Help translate a heritage wine brand into a voice that resonates with Millennial and Gen Z consumers
  • Work directly with our fifth-generation leaders — including Aly, Karl Wente, Niki Wente, Jordan Wente, and Christine Wente
  • Pitch ideas, test trends, and help evolve our content strategy

You won’t just observe. You’ll create. You’ll experiment. You’ll influence.

Who We’re Looking For

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Are fluent in TikTok, Instagram, and short-form video trends
  • Understand how to make content feel authentic — not forced
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and aren’t afraid to pitch ideas
  • Want a real career in marketing, media, PR, or brand storytelling
  • Are excited to spend the summer in Livermore Valley, California

Bonus points if you love wine, hospitality, culture, food, or storytelling.

What You’ll Gain

This is more than a summer job, it’s a professional accelerator.

  • Paid internship
  • Housing provided (if needed)
  • Direct mentorship from senior executives
  • Access to winery events and experiences
  • A portfolio of real-world brand work
  • Content you can proudly include in future job applications

You’ll leave with experience, relationships, and momentum.
