The Cabernet Lawn

Join us at the Cabernet Lawn for a relaxed wine country experience with family and friends. Enjoy picnic fare and specialty snacks alongside a bottle of Wente Family Vineyard wines. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with larger groups and is welcoming to all ages.

No reservations necessary; first-come, first-served. Chairs are provided, but feel free to bring a blanket. Food & live-music available Saturday and Sunday, 1-4 pm.

This is an immersive blind tasting experience designed to heighten sensory awareness and challenge conventional wine evaluation. Guests explore a curated selection of Wente wines through aroma, texture, and palate alone, removing all visual cues to encourage an unbiased and purely sensory assessment based solely on taste, bouquet, and mouthfeel.

How Shape Transforms Sparkling Wine
This interactive class explores why the glass you choose can dramatically change the experience of Champagne, Cava, and sparkling wines from around the world. Through guided tasting and side-by-side comparisons, guests will discover how coupe, flute, and tulip glasses influence bubbles, aroma, texture, and overall balance. This class equips participants with practical knowledge to select the right glass for every style and occasion, elevating sparkling wine from celebratory to truly expressive.

When are you open?

Tasting Room Hours:

Can we bring outside food or a picnic?

No, we do not allow outside food.

Can we bring our pets?

Pets allowed on our outdoor lawn and select outdoor patio areas only. Trained ADA service animals are allowed indoors.

Can we bring our children or infants?

Yes, Wente Vineyards welcomes families to our Cabernet Lawn and select outdoor patio areas. Indoor tastings are 21 years and older. Children must be supervised by their parent at all times.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are encouraged to guarantee a seated tasting but are not required. We will do our best to accommodate walk-in wine tastings.

Are club member tastings complimentary?

Yes, club members can enjoy complimentary wine tastings for up to four guests. Club members also receive discounts on experiences and additional tastings.

Is there still a restaurant at Wente Vineyards?

The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards has transitioned to the Wente Vineyards Tasting Lounge. We do not offer food to order at the Tasting Lounge. For a morning or afternoon meal, visit The Grill from 7 am to 6 pm.

Will there be an upcoming concert series at Wente Vineyards?

Our event program has evolved over the last few years. Though we no longer host large concerts at Wente Vineyards, we do have music events throughout the year. Be sure to join our mailing list to be the first to know about our upcoming events. 2025 Summer Live Music Series is from May – October.
