Certified Mahjong Instructor Heidi Kapust of @get_it_mahj will guide you through the game in a welcoming, easy-to-follow setting, perfect for new players ready to join the Mahjong craze.

Mahjong 101 | October 21

Learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong, including the tiles, rules, setup, terminology and flow of play. No previous experience is needed.

Mahjong 102 | October 28

Build on the skills learned in Mahjong 101 with guided practice, strategy and tips designed to help you play more confidently and prepare for Open Play.

Evening Schedule

5–6 PM | Sip, Snack & Socialize
Enjoy light bites and one glass of Wente Family Vineyards wine, included with your ticket. Additional wine will be available for purchase.

6–8:30 PM | Mahjong Lesson
Settle in for hands-on instruction and plenty of guided play with Heidi.

All Mahjong equipment and boards will be provided. The evenings will also feature a raffle, prizes, lucky charms and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, sip and yap with friends.

Taking Mahjong 101 and 102 is strongly encouraged before joining Mahjong Open Play.

Open Play

5 pm – 8:30 pm

Join us on November 5 for an evening of American Mahjong, wine and friendly competition.

Certified Mahjong Instructor Heidi Kapust of @get_it_mahj will host the evening, featuring open play, fun games and prizes.

Evening Schedule

5–6 PM | Sip, Snack & Socialize
Enjoy cheese & charcuterie and a special chef’s bite and one glass of Wente wine, included with your ticket. Additional food & wine will be available for purchase.

6–8:30 PM | Hosted Open Play
Gather around the table for a lively evening of American Mahjong. Bring your own tiles, or use the boards and tiles provided by our host.

Open Play is intended for guests who already understand the fundamentals of American Mahjong and have some playing experience. Beginners are strongly encouraged to complete Mahjong 101 and 102 before attending.

$45 per person
Club discount applies. Ticket price includes $25 for hosted Open Play, plus $20 for cheese & charcuterie, chef’s bite and one glass of wine.
