THE NTH DEGREE

Our 2021 Merlot has aromatics of candied red cherry and a touch of blueberry jam, a sweet and fruity profile, while the notes of cocoa and baked cinnamon add layers of complexity and warmth. A full body wine with s substantial mouth feel that finishes with big silky tannins. A well-structured wine that provides a balanced and smooth conclusion to each sip.

The 2022 nth DEGREE Syrah from Wente Vineyards leads with a mix of ripe plum and smoked meat aromas that are framed by clove and roasted coffee. Flavors are reminiscent of black raspberry, white pepper, and toasted vanilla. While rich and full ABV: bodied, this wine also showcases a velvety roundness and lingering plush tannins.

The 2023 nth DEGREE Pinot Noir from Wente Vineyards demonstrates the depth of the Dijon Clone. Dark ruby in the glass, the wine smells of black cherry and blackberries framed by vanilla and toasted oak. Flavors of ripe dark fruits and baking spices are followed by silky tannins.

The inaugural 2023 vintage of n DEGREE Cabernet Franc is a compelling expression of why this variety thrives in the Livermore Valley. The nose entices with layered aromas of red and black cherry, earthy undertones, black pepper, and a touch of spicy French oak. On the palate, it offers a rich yet balanced mouthfeel, with a moderate body and a refined tannin structure that carries gracefully through a long, elegant finish.

The 2023nth DEGREE Chardonnay is a testament to Wente's long history of crafting world-class Chardonnay. This Chardonnay boasts complex aromas that include ripe apple, nectarine, clove, and brioche. This full-bodied wine has flavors of red apple, pear, and sweet baking spices. The balance of generous fruit and toasted oak leads to a rich finish that keeps you coming back for more.

The nth DEGREE is a selection of handcrafted, limited production wines created by Fifth Generation Winemaker, Karl D. Wente. The focus of this small lot program is to create wines that reflect the distinctive terroir of the Wente family’s estate vineyards in Livermore Valley and Arroyo Seco, Monterey. Each wine must show style and finesse of stellar degree to be included in the nth DEGREE program. Only the best of the best, regardless of vintage or variety, achieve this distinction.
