2009 Small Lot Duetto
Our 2009 Duetto exhibits rich flavors of black cherry, cassis, cocoa and chocolate. Accented by toasted oak and a hint of spice, this wine is both supple and bold with a long, rich finish.
50% of this blend comes from our Cabernet Sauvignon block in the Napa Valley, and 50% was grown in our Smith and Sacchau blocks in the Livermore Valley.
The Napa & half of the Livermore grapes were fermented in stainless steel tank and pumped over twice daily. The other half of the Livermore Valley grapes were fermented in 1-ton open top fermenters and punched down by hand twice daily.
The wine was aged for 22 months in French, American, Eastern European, and neutral oak barrels.
